Precision, held over decades

Financial Data Management Limited has looked after the financial records of UK businesses since 1993, from our office in the City of London.

FDM was founded on a simple observation: businesses rarely fail because they lack reports. They fail because the reports they have cannot be trusted. Our work sits underneath the reporting layer, in the records, reconciliations and controls that decide whether a number means anything.

We work as an extension of your finance team rather than as a distant supplier. That means agreed deadlines, named contacts and a clear record of what has been done — so the person reviewing the numbers knows exactly how they were arrived at.

The company is led by our director, Iain Christopher Bloomfield, and operates from Tallis House, 2 Tallis Street, Blackfriars, London, EC4Y 0AB. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 02827644.

Principles We Work To

Fix it at source

A reporting problem is almost always a data problem wearing a disguise. We correct the coding, the mapping and the process rather than patching the output every month.

Document as you go

Controls that only exist in someone's head are not controls. Everything we run is written down, so the work survives holidays, handovers and audits.

Report what is true

We do not present a number we cannot evidence. Where an estimate is used, it is labelled as one, with the basis stated.

Stay for the long term

Our clients tend to stay with us for years. That continuity is what allows us to know a business well enough to spot when something looks wrong.
